University College Cork was a fantastic abroad university to attend and they did a very good job taking care of their visiting students. All of their facilities and resources were open to the visiting students which made it easier to get involved and learn about local culture. In particular, I thought it was very cool that visiting students were encouraged to join clubs and activities even though some would only be there for a semester. The learning style was different, as most classes were huge lectures, but that didn't take away from the experience. My professors were still involved with their students and were available and willing to meet during office hours with any questions I had during the semester. The apartment I stayed in while I was there was about a 3 minute walk to the main campus and about 15-20 minutes to center city. It was the perfect location in my opinion. The apartment was clean, safe, and the management was very friendly. My only complaints are that laundry was expensive and there were a lot of inspections and other management duties that were often difficult to deal with due to our busy schedules. Something that I found different about Cork was the ease of getting to know Irish students and other locals. When talking to my friends who studied abroad elsewhere, it didn't seem like they were able to have the meaningful connections with locals as we did. In my opinion, that was the best part about studying abroad in Cork.

Spending a semester in Cork, Ireland was one of the most enriching experiences in my years at Saint Joseph's University. Having the unique opportunity to study Food Marketing in another country while embracing a new cultural environment was such a blessing.

UCC was a great university to meet a variety of people and learn a lot about yourself. The way of teaching and learning in Ireland is different from American universities which allows one self to adapt and learn in new ways. I not only learned a lot academically, but I learned so much more about myself than I could have ever imagined. Studying abroad was one of the best experiences of my life and I would highly suggest everyone to participate in programs like this one.

Cork was amazing! The opportunity to learn in class and also learn more than I ever imagined outside of the classroom was one of a kind. I was truly immersed in the culture. I was able to grow as a person. The university is amazing with great resources! My professors and fellow classmates were so friendly and helpful! I wish that I could go back, I miss it already! Cork was an amazing place to learn and live for four months. The experiences I had there were once in a lifetime and I will cherish them forever.
