Staff/Administrators Traveling Without Students

Introduction to Staff/Administration International Travel Registration

The Saint Joseph's University International Travel Policy requires that all faculty and staff planning individual, international travel for non-academic, University purposes register their confirmed travel with the Center for International Programs (CIP).  This includes (but is not limited to) travel for the purposes of conference attendance, service and recruitment.

Before you begin the registration process below, please note the following:
  • If you are a Coordinator for an SJU Study Tour or Summer Program, you do not need to register here. You are already in the CIP system from the Coordinator application process.
  • If you are planning non-academic travel with any number of Saint Joseph's University students (undergraduate or graduate), please apply for approval through the Group Travel Request page.
  • Per the University's International Travel Policy, travel to any country or region under a U.S. Department of State or Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Travel Warning is prohibited.  An appeal process is available.  See our Request for Exception page for details and a timeline to submit your appeal.
  • All University-sponsored travel must be booked through the University Travel Office or Concur, the preferred on-line booking tool.  Air and rail reservations booked outside of the Travel office will not be reimbursed, per the SJU Travel and Business Expense Policy.

Why Is Registering Important?
Travel registration in the system allows the CIP and the University the ability to provide you with the necessary health and safety support, including travel medical insurance information and other pre-departure resources.  Additionally, in the unlikely event of an emergency while you are traveling, the CIP will be able to quickly coordinate response and assistance with the relevant departments across campus.

Ready to Register?
The following steps will guide you through the quick and easy process of registering your international travel with the CIP office:

Step 1: Click this "Register Now" button to begin:

Step 2: Log-in with your SJU ID and password (unless you are already authenticated).

Step 3: Complete your itinerary with your travel dates and destination/s.

Step 4: From the next page, complete the brief Questionnaire, which includes spaces for you to provide additional information about your trip.  This page also provides access to important travel resources, such as country-specific health and safety information and your University travel assistance card, which you should print and carry with you overseas.
Please complete your registration at least 30 days prior to your departure so that the CIP has ample time to review your registration and reach out to you with any location or document concerns.
Returning to View or Complete Your Registration
You can return to work on your registration at any time, as long as it is complete at least 30 days prior to travel.  To return, click "SJU Login/Register" at the top of the page to be taken to your Applicant Home page.  From here, click on the blue link for your registration.  Please do not hit the "Register Now" button from this page more than once as doing so will create multiple applications for you.
Please direct policy and/or registration questions to Kelly (Horning) Gregg, Assistant Director for Semester Abroad and Health & Safety: 610-660-3479 or
