Student Tax Return
As an international student or scholar you must ensure you file a minimum of one US tax form each year. Understanding the US tax system and filing a tax return is an overwhelming and confusing experience for any student.
Sprintax is an online tool specifically designed for international students and scholars which helps you prepare your return in less than 20 minutes!
Why should you file a Tax return?

  • First and foremost, it is a legal requirement of the United States to file a tax return. Not doing so could impact the status of your current visa as well as future US visa applications.
  • Avoid penalties – If you miss the April 15th deadline late file penalties may occur. File prior to this date to save yourself the hassle. The earlier, the better.
  • You may be owed a tax refund –some international students filing a tax return are owed a tax refund for overpaid taxes. Refunds can be around $800 - $1000. It’s worth checking if you are due a refund.
