Announcement: Faculty Proposals for 2019 Study Tours and Summer Programs Due February 15th

Event Date: 02/15/2018
The Center for International Programs is still accepting faculty proposals for 2019 Study Tour and Summer Program courses!

If you are interested in offering a course with a Study Tour component for Spring, Summer or Fall 2019, please apply here.

If you are interested in teaching a course on one of our 2019 Summer Programs (Greece, Rome, China and Chile), please apply here.

The deadline to submit a Faculty Proposal is Wednesday, February 15th, 2018 at 11:59PM. Applications will not be considered after the deadline.  Faculty will be notified of decisions by early-April pending Department Chair, Dean & International Education Committee review, which will begin after the deadline.

Items to note:

  • Summer Programs: Like last year, the Summer Program in Rome can accommodate up to 4 courses. The Summer Programs in China, Greece, and Chile can accommodate two courses.

  • Study Tours: As per University Policy, all Study Tours offered for academic credit must include some pre-departure and post-trip meetings, sessions, and assignments. Ordinarily, all Study Tours should have between 15 to 20 hours of classroom experience on campus before and/or after the tour itself.  In addition, the Study Tour travel component (for spring or fall semester courses) must occur during or immediately before/after the rostered semester (or during spring break for spring semester courses).

If you are a first-time faculty leader or have any questions about the proposal process or online application, please contact the Center for International Programs: 610-660-1835; studyabroad@sju.edu.
