It was hands on and lectures were more enjoyable than those at my home school.

AUR was a very good blend of American and Italian culture. I felt as though I was able to experience living day to day in Italy, but the comfort of knowing people and going to school with people who spoke English and understood American culture. It was a great time.

Studying abroad at the American University of Rome was an amazing learning experience. I was able to not only learn in the classroom but also I learned to adapt and become comfortable in an environment that I was not accustomed too. Two of my classes offered field trips where we participated in wine tasting, learned about the olive oil business and how olive oil was made and we also had field trip to the Italian senate building where we received a personal tour of the building and were also able to meet the President of the Italian Senate. My time abroad was an unforgettable experience and like many other abroad students, we are vey fortunate to have been given the opportunity to study at the American University of Rome.

It was a fun experience. I was able to get well adapted with the culture and enjoy everything Rome had to offer along with most of Italy. Great food and night life and a lot of free time on the weekends including fridays to do exploring.

AUR was is in a nice location and the overall environment was very nice. The school was diverse so we were able to interact with students from multiple countries. The professors seemed like they cared about their students and the majority of them we easy to reach. Library resources were included and very helpful with my studies. Overall AUR was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

I am so happy I chose the American University of Rome as my study abroad program. They offer a variety of classes that cater to almost all majors and is located in one of the most amazing cities in the world. The faculty and staff are always willing to help students with any problems involving school or just adapting to the new environment!

The American University of Rome was able to give me the best abroad experience both culturally and educationally. The program did an excellent job of making use of the beautiful city of Rome and making it feel as if it is your home. Educationally I believe that I was given a top notch education from professors that were well qualified and were able to bring a new perspective to the classroom.

AUR has made my experience abroad unlike anything I imagined. It gave me a home away from home, somewhere I could learn, and a place to meet new people. I enjoyed being mixed with Italian students who studied full-time at AUR.

This program was very beneficial, and I highly recommend every student to apply for it. I learned what it feels like to be a foreigner in another country. This program helped me learn more about my Italian culture and develop better communication skills. I became friends with new people from Saint Joe's I had never met and got to travel the world with them. The friendships you make while you're abroad will last a lifetime. Traveling every weekend is also a must and a great experience to see the rest of Europe.

Adapting to a new culture is a great experience, and allows an individual to learn about his or herself and learn in a new, exciting environment where he or she has room to grow independent. This program is priceless for what it gives to the student, independence and culture.
