Overall, this is a great program that allows students to learn beyond the classroom. It is a way to learn both academically and about the world. In one semester, I have learned more than collectively in my past two years of college. This program helps students grow as informed global citizens.

Studying abroad in Madrid, Spain was easily one of the best decisions that I have made during my collegiate career. I was able to improve my spanish more than I was able to since I started studying it in 8th grade. I made incredible connections with my host parents whom I hope to stay in touch with. I met people from all around the world let along all around the U.S., and even became friends with some hawks! The places that you can travel are phenomenal, but Madrid was enough for me to be happy abroad. Would definitely recommend studying abroad!

Saint Louis University, Madrid offers a really good study abroad program. The program has challenging academics at an institution that has students from all over the world. The student population is very diverse and has a mix of "permanent students" and "semester students". The program has a ton of wonderful host families and the program works to make sure all the students are happy with their living situation. Many classes have "class trips" to different places throughout Madrid; including museums, parks, a temple. Overall, Saint Louis University, Madrid is a very good program.

I would study abroad again in a heartbeat. What is cool about Madrid in particular is that you are immersed in Spanish so you get to practice a lot (which can be very useful when you return home because many people here speak Spanish too), and there are a lot of different foods we don't eat in the U.S. These two things make you feel like you are truly studying "abroad". There are a lot of parks, museums and other things to visit if you decide to stay in Madrid for the weekend instead of travel, and if you do travel, Madrid is a pretty central location, which makes flight times shorter and cheaper. The school itself is a great school. I came away from this experience with friends from all over the U.S. and abroad. I met people from places like Hungary, Mozambique, Ireland, and Venezuela!

SLU Madrid has a wide range of classes that you will not be able to find at SJU. It's a wonderful program with some accomplished professors who can help you, as they are successful in their field. The one good thing I loved about SLU was that there is no end to the diversity you will there, almost everyone is from a different country and you will learn so much about their different cultures. In addition, you also get to have fun in Madrid and experience the Madrid culture. Other cities are only a bus ride away. I really recommend this city for any fun-loving college student.

Studying abroad through this program was an amazing experience! The University provides many opportunities to get involved on campus and with the Madrid community. They event provide trips to explore other cities in Spain! I found the difficulty of the courses to be very similar to those at St. Joe's, meaning that you can't slack off and expect to receive an "A".

Saint Louis University Madrid made me feel so comfortable and so welcomed into their community.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the program but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that SLU had many similarities to SJU and I was able to feel right at home and made the transition process easier.
