Important Considerations
Flight Deviation Requests: International Residency participants are required to travel on the group flight arranged by SJU & CIP office. The cost of round-trip airfare is included in your cost of participation.  In some instances, the airline may allow for 1-3 individual deviations to the group itinerary (i.e., change of departure city, date of return). If this is the case for your program, the CIP will email all confirmed participants about possible deviation spaces and will accept requests on a first come, first serve basis. Participants would be responsible for any difference in cost of the individual ticket. Please review the Itinerary, and consider your travel plans to request your flight deviation upon notice.

Passports: A copy of your VALID passport is required at the time of applying as participation in this program requires a Tourist Visa. Passports must be valid six months through the end of the program date.
If your passport is expired or will expire in November 2018 or earlier, please renew your passport right away. Passport information can be found on the State Department Website.

Visas: Foreign nationals are required to have a visa to travel to China. The CIP office will apply for the visa on your behalf at the NY Consulate of China. This will require releasing your passport to the CIP office for a minimum of two weeks in early February. Please plan accordingly.
